Plant Operator – Olds Gas Plant
Reporting to the Plant Foreman, at NAL’s Olds Gas Plant, you will be part of an active team environment responsible for routine plant operations. This plant is staffed on a 24/7 basis, and the work schedule consists of rotating 12-hour shifts.
As the successful candidate, you ideally have prior plant operating experience that includes knowledge of plant equipment and processes such as steam generation, water treatment, glycol dehydration, propane refrigeration, condensate stabilization fractionation, reciprocating compression, sour gas treating, and sulphur recovery. Your experience in cost control, turnarounds, and operating plant control systems and field SCADA systems will also be considered an asset.
To qualify for this position, you have current safety training certification, a minimum of your 3rd Class Power Engineering certification and have aspirations to pursue your 2nd Class certification. A 2nd class power engineering certificate is a strong asset. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are willing to work closely with other operators in a team environment.
