Production Engineer – Calgary, AB
Reporting to the Manager, Saskatchewan Business Unit, you will work as part of an active, multi-disciplinary team. You will generate Production and Operating Cost Optimization ideas, and take the lead on execution of Optimization Projects, as well as track asset performance relative to production and operating expense targets. You will set and deliver base production and unit OPEX targets for Saskatchewan Assets.
You will work with Field Operations and the Well Servicing Coordinator to reduce overall well workover costs including; Artificial Lift optimization, stimulations, re-completion and completion recommendations. You will be responsible for evaluating downtime and present trends and to quantify opportunities for improvements to current production. Your responsibilities include having strong communication with the field, Facilities Engineer, and various departments within the organization and our industry partners to ensure efficient information sharing occurs.
To qualify for this position you have attained a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering), with a minimum of five years’ related Canadian production engineering oil and gas experience. Surface and Subsurface experience is required. Your field experience and knowledge of rod pumping systems including rod and pump jack design will be an asset. You are a leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills, are self-motivated, and have confidence delivering information to influence parties with potentially divergent viewpoints.
